I have used Gradescope for quantitative, qualitative, hybrid, short/very short answer questions. All have worked well.

in an essay you often have things a student did well and errors they have made or things that were done less well. How would you reflect that in the rubric if there are only negative scoring or positive scoring options? Just through comments?

What about an exam where they have a choice to answer 2 out of 4 questions. Can we set it so the total exam grade will not simply be the max total of all the questions?

Are the handwritten names/signatures by students saved in Gradescope.ca (in Canada) or Gradescope.com (in US). And what measures are being taken in Canada/U.S. to prevent hackers from obtaining the handwritten signatures? These could be used as digital signatures later?
