Can I ask a quick q now?
Sudhakar V Balachandran

this may be a dumb question, but historically my students turned assignments in on blackboard using the assignments featured and turn it in.com. Then I would grade online using the grade book. What is the advantage of Gradescope over this?

I have two questions about online assignments based on my experience so far. One is how students save and return to the work. Even though they “saved” than “submitted” the draft, it shows on my end as “submitted”. Is there a way to differentiate submitted vs. in progress? 2) Is there a way to add media in the question such as embedding a video? Based on what’s said earlier, students can upload multimedia, but could the questions be based on multimedia?

To be clear, you need to create a column in Blackboard’s grade book before you can release grades on Gradescope, correct?
